Cotton V's Polyester
Well the negative thoughts about polyester blended bed linen still haunts the industry.
Neeki Designs has been manufacturing their bed linen with a Supercale premium 50% cotton and 50% polyester fabric for the past 5years. We have never had any shrinkage, pilling, fading or irritation problems in that whole time.
Why do people love the 50/50 blend? *Our colour range is very extensive, there's a colour for everyone. *Its great wearing *You only need to use the normal cycle, not fancy. *Minimal (none in my case) ironing is all that's required. Anything you look after (see our 'November tips') will stand by you and last a long time.
p.s You can tumble dry but remember temperatures during the tumble drying process should not be too high, i.e. should not exceed 100c. This can result in unnecessary creases and degradation due to fibres becoming brittle.
p.s When laundering PolyCotton products it is advantageous to underload the washing machine to about 80-85% of full capacity. This will help prevent excessive creasing and greying of the fabric
Polyester: is a man-made material. It is the perfect hypo-allergenic product with superior durability and resilience properties. Its machine washable and offers warmth without weight. The hollow fibres of polyester allow more loft. Microfibre is an extremely fine synthetic fibre which is designed to act and feel like Down while maintaining all the attributes of a synthetic fibre.
V's
Cotton: is cooler than other fills and is perfect for summer as they absorb moisture. Cotton is a naturally breathable material which keeps you cool and dry while you sleep. It's easily machine washable.
Cotton can be attacked by fungi and bacteria. Mildews and bacteria will flourish on cotton under hot moist conditions. Mildews, for example, will feed on Cotton fabric, rotting and weakening the material causing foul humours. Linen products should be stored in a dry area away from direct sunlight. Cotton and Linen bed linen does need a lot more care if you want them to last and stay looking brand new.

The best of both worlds: A blended fabric especially a 50/50 blend gives you the best of both worlds. You have the man-made fibre giving your sheets the strength to last longer, along with less wrinkles and easy laundering and then you have the soft, breathable cotton that's beautiful to touch. The perfect combination.
